About Kiwi for Gmail

Kiwi is an email management application for Mac and Windows PCs. It enables users to bring together all their Google Workspace applications. Once they are collated, it works as a standalone Google desktop package instead of multiple browser tabs. This desktop application merges multiple Google accounts and multiple applications together. It has all the capabilities of Gmail, Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Calendar, and Keep. User accounts are grouped together, and inboxes are color-coded and displayed on a single menu. For managing several inboxes at once, users can set up focus-filtered inboxes. Kiwi provides a dashboard that combines all email messages, including starred, important, unread, even if different accounts have different filters. Users can access all their Google applications from the Gmail interface. Other features include the do not disturb toggle buttons and instant notification banners.

All of the best of Gmail, with an email app like you're used to.

Kiwi was easy to setup, easy to use, and the options are in simple english and make sense. I would recommend Kiwi to anyone who uses Gmail.

Pros

I've always used an external email app - Eudora, Lotus Notes, Outlook, etc. When faced with using Gmail, the idea of having to keep remembering to have a browser window open all day was quite frustrating. I searched for some options and came across Kiwi. Kiwi was simple, and provided enough features to give me the standalone feel, but the power of Gmail. I really like that I can manage multiple gmail accounts in one program. Better than having multiple browser tabs open all day!

Cons

There are a few features that have been in development - such as calendar notifications. Sometimes it takes a bit of time for new features of Gmail to be added to Kiwi, but, usually there is an update made available quickly.

Very nice UI for Gmail

I really like the product. Greatly a better experience than Gmail in Chrome browser.

Pros

Very rich and dense application. Gives a desktop-like experience.
Better memory management compared to Chrome.
Very easy to switch between accounts in a single window.

Cons

Lack of tabbing feature which leads to too many windows being open.
Make the color palette a bit more intense to easily tell colors apart.
Doesn't seem to integrate with the password manager during the initial login.

Kiwi Support is Completely Non-responsive

I have a paid subscription to Kiwi for Gmail that cost about $60/year and is only a month or two old. And while that's not inexpensive, it seems worth it to me for the features and benefits Kiwi provides. But that said, an app is only as good as its support, and when I recently encountered a bug in Kiwi, I reached out to their support team and got no response. Thinking perhaps they were just really busy, I waited a couple of days, and tried again – nothing. Then later I tried a third time, still no replay. It was obvious that their support team was not going to even reply to my request for help, let alone resolve the problem, which still exists, even though their automated system created a support ticket and number. If you're considering a subscription to Kiwi, I would advise you that their support team is not at all responsive, so if you encounter a problems with Kiwi, you'll be on your own with a product that doesn't work properly. Of course, during the pre-purchase period when I was asking questions about Kiwi prior to paying for it, their support system worked well and my pre-sale questions were promptly answered.

Pros

The app itself is OK and works OK, but there is absolutely no support

Cons

That I could not get a reply from Kiwi Support as a paid subscription customer.

Organization and QUICK access to all features. No need to log on to browser is a BIG PLUS.

I tried many other apps to organize multiple Gmail mailboxes/addies. Kiwi has outdone them all. I could not believe it worked so well for so long at no cost ... happy to pay the annual subscription price!

Pros

Five Gmail addresses are smooth and easy to organize. Quick and easy to fly through messages and prioritize. Time saver!

Cons

Implementing filters still a bit quirky.

Wonderful Desktop email client for businesses running GSuite

This is my go-to desktop email Client and I can't see myself changing anytime soon.

Pros

I like the simple filtering you can use to just show mail from the last day and mail that is unread. I also love the ability to have emails open in different windows

Cons

I would like to see some more integrations.
