## Reviews

### "Great software product for a family law attorney," — 5.0/5

> **John** | *8 May 2026* | Law Practice | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: User friendly and robust. I used the new email and forms and template that made me much more productive. Leap card system was a great system. I have also used the cross reference between the name cards and the matters card was a great feature. The customer support was excellent and despite my years away from technology, the customer support people were extremely helpful and were very patient with me.
>
> **Cons**: Because I lost my trusty paralegal for the last few years, my institutional knowledge base was disrupted. I did not have a typical hourly basis and therefore when I had to do some bills, it was a relearning process. With the help of customer support, I was able to get the few bills out.
>
> I am in retirement. I started using Case Management software \[Abacus\] back in the late 80's. In the late 90's I was the Florida family guru concerning software products. in 2000, I got out of the active practice of law because of a medical disability. In 2016, I got back into practice to do collaborative law. When I got back into solo practice in 2016, I tried Abacus. After a year, I found that Abacus was too cumbersome and too expensive. I tried Smokeball which was less expensive and a bit more agile. Then I tried Leap and I found that it more user friendly and robust and less expensive and I used it for the last 4 years of my practice.

### "If you haven't used LEAP in the last 6 months, you really haven't used LEAP\!" — 4.0/5

> **Kathryn** | *19 June 2026* | Law Practice | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: All the new AI integration\! It is absolutely a game changer for law firms. It's no standard AI, the intelligence of AI Paralegal, CRM (I chat with pilot constantly), Matter Issues, Pathways, Ruffle, it's just endless the support it is starting to provide and with time we will see across all areas, leaving our employees to do the most vital work, the client communication and legal judgement without the distraction of everything else.
>
> **Cons**: Until the launch of LawY, it would have been how irrelevant the software was becoming after the integrations to PEXA etc as forms went online. Now, it's going from ease of use in one area, and then having it more clunky in another (this document automation, Java Script, Workflows etc). Tasks sitting outside of LEAP and that the new creations like Pathways, Matter Issues, AI Paralegal are not all planned to meet in one location with the tasks from the outset. Currently experience more difficulty using auto time so have staff still manually tracking and that their entries can't read the matter to know if they should be $0.00 rate or billable rate depending on type of matter.
>
> 19 years using LEAP, and can say now would be the most exciting time to be using the software. The possibilities are endless, the various LEAP Development teams we work with are all really open to our feedback and ideas and from an owner point of view, it now feels more like a partnership.

### "LEAP is still a market leader if you are looking for a new case management system." — 5.0/5

> **Helen** | *30 March 2026* | Law Practice | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: LEAP is constantly evolving and bringing in the use of AI in a useful way to help create efficiences within the team. The support received from our account manager \[sensitive content hidden\]
is excellent.
>
> **Cons**: The technical support can be very efficient but at times as if your issue needs to escalate this can take longer to resolve. It would be an improvement, if technical could jump onto your machine quicker rather than using chat.
The cost of the product is on the expensive side compared to other products, but provided you use the product as intended i.e. precedents, workflows, the built in AI capabilities then the efficiencies gained does help to offset the cost.
>
> LEAP is very intuitive and easy to use, it is an excellent cloud based management system which has everything in one package. I would certainly recommend getting a demonstration if you are looking for a new case management system.

### "True “all‑in‑one” system" — 5.0/5

> **Yu** | *24 April 2026* | Law Practice | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: it acts as an all‑in‑one system for a sole practitioner. The document automation and precedents save substantial drafting time and give consistency across conveyancing, trust, and lending files. The built‑in workflows replace manual checklists and reduce the risk of missing steps. AML and compliance tools keep files audit‑ready with minimal extra effort. Having matters, documents, billing, trust accounting, and correspondence in one system lowers admin burden and cognitive load. When used properly, LEAP effectively replaces a junior lawyer, practice manager, and compliance officer in one platform
>
> **Cons**: It may be cost–effort imbalance when you’re not fully using it. It feels expensive for a sole practitioner, especially given the time needed to set up and maintain precedents and workflows. The desktop interface can feel clunky and dated, and email handling—particularly with Outlook Web—adds unnecessary manual steps. LEAP is also quite rigid: you must work “the LEAP way”, which can feel frustrating when you want speed or flexibility. In short, it’s powerful but heavy, unforgiving of under‑use, and sometimes more complex than you’d like for straightforward matters.
>
> Great and time saving. This is particularly valued by small firms and sole practitioners, where admin overhead falls directly on the principal. Also it is cloude based and convenient to work from any where in the world.

### "Great experience using LEAP" — 5.0/5

> **Neil** | *23 June 2026* | Legal Services | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: LEAP has practically zero downtime, a very responsive support team, helpful collaboration/integrations with other software providers, and is generally very easy and intuative to use and navigate around.
>
> **Cons**: Occasionally, updates to the user interface can be pushed out without prior notice, which can be frustrating on the day. Functionality is all there, but a bit of experimentation is needed to find where it's been moved to.
>
> Hard to fault the team at LEAP since we've moved over from our previous CMS. From initial set up and data migration, the guys have all been great to deal with. We're more efficiently able manage client communications, case progression, document storage and account ledgers. The reporting suite is particularly good, as well.
