For buyers, PaymentWorks is easy to use and implement at a low-cost. Features include automating the vendor on-boarding process, updating supplier information with ease, ensure regulatory compliance, eliminate payment inquiries and discounted early payment offers. Buyers are able to purchase the system in monthly subscription models.
For suppliers, PaymentWorks is free, easy to use and housed in a secure supplier portal solution. Suppliers can view the status of invoices, access remittance details and send messages to customers to resolve issues. PaymentWorks allows the supplier to maintain all company information in one, secure place that is accessible to their customers. The system allows for suppliers to get paid electronically through ACH payments as well as early payment options.

> **Pros**: The data is securely housed by the system. So much so that as an administrator I am unable to provide an adequate level of support to my vendors.

> **Cons**: The security feature is the only decent feature of this software. If you only work with domestic US Banks and US citizens this might be fine for your business. However, if you ever work with foreign vendors this system will cause you nothing but trouble. The only available language is English. The banking information defaults to check payments which take 45 days to arrive overseas. The software is poorly designed. It asks for the bank account information first and marks a routing number as a required field. Foreign bank accounts do not have routing numbers. Vendors are always confused by the required field for banking. The customer service agents are non-existent. If they do respond they do not help the customer. They just refer the customer back to the paying institution which cannot access any of the data in PaymentWorks.

> This has been the single worst software experience of my 30-year administrative career. Either the payees cannot figure out how to complete the registration, or, they cannot figure out how to enter the banking information, or, they cannot understand the terminology and there are no other languages for translation. Foreign vendors request check payments which take 45 days to arrive and I am fielding at least one request per vendor per week about when they are going to receive funds. Check payments cannot be tracked. After a few weeks the vendors request a check cancellation and then need additional assistance from me to complete the registration, then invariably the check payment arrives the next day but can no longer be deposited. The wire transfer payment takes several weeks to complete during that time vendors are constantly contacting me to ask when their payment will be deposited. There is no tracking system for the wire payments. I spend all my time at work now dealing with angry vendors.
