## Reviews

### "Highly Recommend Crowdin for Translation Work" — 5.0/5

> **Johnny** | *1 June 2024* | Nonprofit Organisation Management | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Crowdin is a fantastic platform that has made the translation process incredibly smooth. It's super easy to use, even for beginners, with a user-friendly interface that anyone can navigate. The website loads quickly, which is a huge plus when managing large projects. The machine translation feature provides helpful context based on work you have already done. Plus, the glossary feature ensures consistency across all translations, maintaining our high-quality standards.
>
> **Cons**: The overall project management on Crowdin could use some improvement. The dashboard process, in particular, needs refining. It would be great to have more intuitive and easy-to-understand dashboards that clearly show the amount of work completed over time. This enhancement would make tracking progress much more efficient and user-friendly.

> I highly recommend Crowdin for translation work. I have already recommended it to friends who are using it for their projects. Of all the translation tools I have used, it is my favorite.

### "Crowdin, probably the best localisation platform" — 5.0/5

> **José** | *2 March 2026* | Computer Games | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: There are several things I love about Crowdin. For one, over the 8+ years I've been using the platform, I've always found it's amazing how easy it is to collaborate with other translators across multiple projects via the discussions tab on each string. Whenever there's something going on, I receive an e-mail about it, and I can focus on getting things resolved. Fast and easy.

I come from a software developer's perspective, and I have used Crowdin to create and manage projects (thanks to Crowdin's amazing policy of free projects for open-source initiatives). In this position, you're often faced with the challenge of introducing your user base and collaborators to the platform where they will be handling translations, and I can assure you that Crowdin has been by far the easiest and most intuitive space for regular users, who may not have any background whatsoever in localisation, to contribute their grain of sand towards translating a project.

Pretty much every language on earth is supported, and if the language you want isn't there, the Crowdin team can evaluate whether it'd be feasible to add it to the main platform.

Also speaking from the perspective of a project owner rather than a translator, integrating Crowdin with my projects using their Git widgets functionality has been an absolute relief. All the effort we had to put into maintaining translations via static files and complicated systems is gone, and we can focus on building software whilst our user base translates it\!

One could write a small book or documentation page with a few sections with everything good about Crowdin, so I would simply advice anybody who hasn't tried it before to simply go ahead and sign up\! If you feel like translating is something you're interested in, then go ahead and contribute to a project you find interesting. I for one started using Crowdin because of Minecraft and haven't stopped since\!

Overall I think Crowdin has made many good decisions in time, and they continue to strive as probably the \#1 localisation platform.
>
> **Cons**: There are two specific things I dislike about Crowdin:

1. The overall restyling of the platform that was implemented some years ago. Icons and text borders started to become roundish; things were de-centred for no apparent reason... just, why? You could have kept it perfect\!

2. The removal of national flags. To me as a translator and proofreader, this change has made the experience of finding a language incredibly painful. Now imagine how it looks for new contributors who see the project page for the first time and see a bunch of grey flags with random letters all over them... this really discourages people who may have otherwise stayed, having clicked on their own country's flag to take a peek...
>
> Very good. I even had the opportunity to speak to the support team sometimes, and they were very friendly and easy to talk to.

### "Easy to use as a translator" — 4.0/5

> **Chiara** | *2 March 2026* | Hospitality | Recommendation rating: 6.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I like that Crowdin lets you use different AI translation providers like DeepL and Google. Different tools work better for different languages, so having that flexibility is really helpful. It makes it easier to get strong first drafts. The translation memory is also a big plus. It saves time and keeps wording consistent across the product, especially for repeated terms.
>
> **Cons**: The UI is okay, but it can feel a bit convoluted at times. It’s not always obvious where things sit or which setting you need. From what I’ve heard from developers, adding and managing keys can also feel quite clunky. It’s a bit frustrating that keys have to be merged into master before they’re available, instead of being live straight away. That can slow things down.
>
> Overall, I’ve had a good experience with Crowdin. It’s a solid tool with useful features, especially around AI translations and translation memory. It’s not perfect, but it works well for what we need.

### "Freelance Translation in the language pair from English to Hindi" — 5.0/5

> **Manisha** | *20 March 2026* | Individual & Family Services | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: User Interface:- It has very good User Interface. Very good working and easy understanding. It gives memory translation.
>
> **Cons**: Learning Curve: I have not seen relearning curve in the system which has not available for future needs.
>
> Crowdin is Overall very good. It is easy to understand and covers all translation aspects. It helped me a lot in translation memory.

### "Great tool for short strings" — 4.0/5

> **Dawid** | *30 September 2025* | Translation & Localisation | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I like Crowdin's simplicity, as it is perfect for shorter strings of text (I will mention this in the next section too). I haven't encountered too many bugs and issues, and I really like the TM searches.
>
> **Cons**: What I don't like about Crowdin is that for the longer strings, it's really difficult to work on them, especially when the string takes more than 3 sentences. I would love to have an option to make smaller segments out of a big chunk of text, as sometimes the text is so long, that I cannot see my translation (not mentioning the TM match) if I don't scroll the whole screen, which is really annoying. Moreover, I would love to have crowdin show the TM matches for the terms appearing in the text on the right of the screen, like the competitors' software does (it's really helpful, especially for the terms etc).
Sometimes I also encounter a bug where the cursor doesn't show the real editing point, but recently this is quite rare.
I am not sure if it's a bug or a process problem: sometimes the screenshots in Preview menu doesn't show.
>
> I have been working in Crowdin for 5 years, and I believe the tool changed a lot during that time. The work in Crowdin on shorter strings is quite pleasant, but I don't like to work in it on longer strings.
