It also has a lot of built in tools that are very helpful for creating a site. > > **Cons**: It is really expensive if you need more templates or anything for the premium version. Trying to switch to a new template is also difficult. > > It has been helpful for creating simple sites. I wouldn't use it for bigger and more complex sites but if you need simplicity then it works great for that. ----- ### "Rapid web application prototyping and deployment with Wix" — 4.0/5 > **Estrella** | *31 August 2026* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10 > > **Pros**: Velo development features speed up custom web application prototyping. Rich video and image handling tools allow fast deployment of dynamic marketing assets. > > **Cons**: Navigating complex Velo code modules can occasionally trigger UI bugs and issues, while heavy custom script loads slow site rendering. > > Wix delivers solid value for money for rapid business and marketing site deployment. High ease of use and good customer support save our engineering time. ----- ### "cannot go wrong with wix" — 5.0/5 > **Michael** | *13 September 2026* | Graphic Design | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: Wix has really evolved with the implementation of AI. Now you can have a fully built site in minutes without having to do any coding or even drag and drop. You can just tell it what you want and BAM\! You got it > > **Cons**: At the moment i cannot think of any current cons with Wix. They have always been a good choice in my opinion but with all the inovations in the last year i believe anyone would rank Wix as the top company out there > > WOW\! that is the best way to describe my wix experiences from day 1 until now with it steadily improving the whole time ----- ### "Great startup website" — 5.0/5 > **Aireanne** | *28 July 2026* | Food & Beverages | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10 > > **Pros**: Easy to update yourself without needing a web developer. \* Professional-looking templates that worked well for showcasing your catering business. \* Built-in SEO tools to help your business rank on Google. \* Simple integration with tools you use, such as your contact forms and marketing. \* An all-in-one platform with hosting, security, and website management in one place. \* Flexibility to showcase your services, including weddings, corporate catering, private chef dinners, and seasonal offerings. \* Ability to add blog posts and photo galleries to highlight your events and improve search rankings. > > **Cons**: SEO has limits. While Wix has improved a lot, it’s generally not as flexible as a custom WordPress site if you’re trying to dominate competitive local search results like “Denver wedding caterer” or “private chef Colorado.” \* Less design flexibility over time. Once you’ve chosen a template, switching to a different one usually means rebuilding much of the site. \* Can get expensive. Monthly fees increase if you need premium apps, more storage, or advanced marketing features. \* Slower page speeds. Some Wix sites can load more slowly than optimized custom-built sites, which can affect user experience and search rankings. \* App dependence. Some features require third-party apps that add recurring costs or complexity. \* Limited customization. If you ever want highly customized booking systems, catering calculators, or unique integrations, Wix can become restrictive. \* Platform lock-in. You can’t simply export your website and move it to another platform while keeping the same design—you’d largely have to rebuild it. > > Overall, my experience with Wix has been positive. It’s easy to use, simple to update, and offers great tools for creating a professional website. The main downsides are limited customization and higher costs for advanced features. ----- ### "review on wix" — 5.0/5 > **Gary A** | *12 August 2026* | Apparel & Fashion | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10 > > **Pros**: Complete Design Freedom: The drag-and-drop editor gives absolute control over the page layout. Unlike structured grid builders, you can place text, images, and buttons anywhere on the screen without touching a line of code. Forbes + 1 No Technical Setup Required: Web hosting, domain registration, SSL certificates, and site security are all managed automatically, making launch stress-free. Enzuzo Massive Template Selection: Access to over 800 modern, industry-specific templates provides a strong foundation for any project without having to build from a blank page. Built-In Business Tools: All essential features—from email marketing and SEO setup guides to online bookings and payment processing—are integrated right into the native dashboard. > > **Cons**: Permanent Template Choice: Once a template is selected and the site is built, switching to a new template isn't possible without manually transferring content to a new design. Mobile Layout Adjustments: While the desktop editor allows total freedom, the automatic mobile conversion often requires manual tweaking and reordering to look right on smartphones. Slower Site Speeds: The absolute drag-and-drop flexibility creates heavier page code, which can result in slower loading times compared to cleaner, performance-focused platforms. Platform Lock-In: Exporting a website or its underlying code off Wix is not supported, making it difficult to migrate to another host or platform down the road. > > Wix is one of the most flexible visual website builders available, offering complete drag-and-drop freedom that makes it exceptionally user-friendly for non-technical creators. However, that total visual control comes with compromises in mobile optimization, template flexibility, and performance. ----- Page: 1 / 433\ Next: [Next page](https://www.softwareadvice.co.nz/software/159592/wix?page=2) ## Links - [View on SoftwareAdvice](https://www.softwareadvice.co.nz/software/159592/wix) ## This page is available in the following languages | Locale | URL | | de | | | en | | | en-AU | | | en-GB | | | en-IE | | | en-NZ | | | fr | | ----- ## Structured Data
