Smartsheet: Project Planning Reinvented
It is very flexible, enabling one to have a personalized order of work and flow, which may suit a certain design project.
Pros
With Smartsheet, you can easily create and manage projects, track progress, and collaborate with team members in real-time. One of the most powerful features of Smartsheet is its critical path highlighting feature. It makes it much easier for you to notice any issues early and try to sort them out. Smartsheet is an online tool, so clients, you, and your team members can use Smartsheet from any location and at any time.
Cons
Unfortunately, in Gantt chart view, there are limited possibilities to customize the task dependencies. Availability features of allocating various resources do not incorporate part-time availability well enough.

It would be Smart to adopt Smartsheet now
It's been amazing! Very user friendly and efficient.
Pros
Smartsheet allowed us to improve operational efficiency and quality.
Cons
That we didn't use this platform sooner, we continued to use a well known competitor and it was causing inefficiencies we could have resolved by switching to Smartsheet

Has the basics but lacks a lot of useful details
It does the basics, and my company was already using it. But I think there's so much more development they could be doing and the views and things they're investing in are not the most impactful. Overall, it's fine, but I wouldn't suggest anyone switch to this from a tool they like. It does the basics and that's it
Pros
I like that it connects with resource manager, and that I can assign people to different tasks. I also like the rules you can create. It's quite intuitive.
Cons
It feels like a glorified excel sheet, and there are things that are not great. The version history is hard / nonexistent, it doesn't auto save, you can't collaborate with someone in the document -- you have to save and refresh. You also can't track resourcing that changes over time.

A must have, you will wish you tried sooner
I cannot envision conducting my business without Smartsheet. It's a tool I highly endorse for any business owner. As I approach two years of self-employment with plans for expansion, Smartsheet remains an integral part of my operations.
Pros
Smartsheet offers a wide range of templates that cater to various business needs. It has improved my organizational skills, helped me meet important deadlines, and kept me accountable for tasks that need follow-up. Moreover, it allows me to work even when I'm unable to connect to the private Wi-Fi required by some systems. With Smartsheet, I can access all the information I need without relying on my EHR. It also provides the flexibility to work remotely, whether from a coffee shop or outside on my PC.
Cons
Configuring Smartsheet to leverage its full potential can be challenging, and I recognize that I'm not using it to its fullest. I would prefer more detailed explanations over numerous YouTube videos on how to utilize each template. An in-built Smartsheet guide for maximizing integrations would be helpful, avoiding the need for external instructions. While short videos may highlight features, they often fail to show effective integration. The cost of attending the conference is exorbitant. Many colleagues who considered attending were deterred by the conference fees alone, not to mention additional expenses for flights and stay. As someone who frequents conferences, I find the cost prohibitive without the incentive of college credits or certification, particularly for individuals not sponsored by corporations.

HELPFUL FOR MY BUSINESS!
I was say my overall experience with Smartsheet is a 8/10. I use it about everyday to keep track of different information within my construction business.
Pros
Smartsheet is very helpful when keeping track of sales and production. It is similar to excel, but offers a lot more. I also enjoy that you can use it on a mobile device.
Cons
Although I do enjoy the mobile version, it can be difficult to navigate

A flexible and powerful package
I have an excellent experience with SmartSheet. We use it for any case where a form of data processing is required. From project management to inventory control and risk assessment. Our daily management system is also based on this platform.
Pros
This software package is simple and versatile. Easy to setup, online forms for data collection are very convenient.
Cons
Free licence exists for users that need limited feature. However the software pushes hard to get a paid license even if unnecessary.

Smartsheet - Data to Dashboard
The Smartsheet is a great platform for data visualization and project management. It helped me reduce the cost of two software programs, Power BI and MSP, into one.
Pros
The data visualization along with the data automation helps to get insights of the data.
Cons
The Gantt chart options are to be added more to get a better look ahead & the Cost is higher than that of competitive software.

Great tool but remember to save your work (no auto-save)!
Pros
Fairly intuitive UI and UX. I was brand new to Smartsheet in September 2023 when I joined a department that heavily utilized the tool. I took some of the self-paced trainings (videos) but found that if you are just using it for the basics you can just click around and/or Google your way through the vast majority of it. Overall, I've been a use for 1+ year and like the tool.
I also like that my clients (many of whom do not have a Smartsheet license) can still utilize/access the workspaces I create.
Cons
No auto-save?! All the time I add a new row, make updates, etc. and forget to hit the little save button. And it does not save any of the work, it just disappears like I never did it! There is a little banner that pops-up after 10 mins and says something like "It's been 10 minutes since you saved your work" But often the work I'm doing doesn't take a full 10 mins.
This is so annoying and seems like a simple, standard feature. I sincerely hope it's on their road-map as Google Docs has had this capability for years.

A tremendous tool for efficiently managing and coordinating our research projects.
I also valued Smartsheet's robust reporting functionalities. The platform facilitated the generation of real-time reports, offering valuable insights into the advancement of projects, allocation of resources, and identification of potential bottlenecks. These reports played a crucial role in keeping stakeholders well-informed and facilitating data-driven decision-making.
Pros
Smartsheet's collaborative tools were very impressive. The feature of sharing sheets with team members, assigning responsibilities, and setting permissions ensured a synchronized understanding among all individuals and facilitated their effective contribution. By improving communication, the danger of miscommunication or duplicated efforts is minimized, which is essential for keeping the project on track.
Cons
Smartsheet's adaptability is a strong point, it can also result in discrepancies in how various team members configure and oversee their sheets. In the absence of explicit instructions, this might lead to a dearth of uniformity among projects, hence complicating the task of upholding a unified project management methodology.

Smartsheet - Great interactive tool
Very good overall experience. Great tool to use to keep up to date in the moment for many people. Keep tracks of pictures, notes, deadlines and much more.
Pros
Great interactive tool for working with any individuals for projects. Even multi company uses to avoid email big down
Cons
Filtering for specific items in the list has to be set up by an admin. Ideally filters can be done easier without having up adjust the sheet. However, once it’s set up it works well. Filtering is done in one list (not the same as excel spreadsheet) harder to find what you want to filter

No frills but high power
We really enjoy using smartsheet because it makes things simple for us. We like that we have a central place for tasks/projects, can easily assign them across our team, and can go back and see how those tasks/projects went. It's better than working out of multiple spreadsheets and can tie together different aspect of our business. You can get more out of it if you put the time in to build company specific modules and then update said modules as needed. For the price, it's hard to beat!
Pros
We get a ton of use inside smartsheet. Our primary use is to document tasks and projects inside one program. Smartsheet allows us to do this, track said items, and easily communicate across the company.
Cons
I would not say we have any high cons per say, but if you require more complicated or intricate uses from a task/project management software, you'd be better suited looking at more expensive or higher frills programs.

Our experience with Smartsheet for client implementations
Smartsheet was easy to learn and very flexible.
Pros
Smartsheet is great for client implementations. We were able to configure worksheets to meet specific implementation processes. We were also able to provide the client with the ability to update some or all of the worksheets within Smartsheet as well as create a document store for the client so we could keep track of official versions of documents.
Cons
I wish there was a less expensive option to allow client users access without paying the additional cost for that.

Smartsheet - IS THE BEST!
Pros
I've worked on Smartsheet for many years and have always said it's like Excel but on steroids! My favorite part of Smartsheet is the automation alerts we can create.
Cons
That you can't have multiple font colors in one cell. Sometimes the data we enter into a cell needs to have a specific font color which Smartsheet does offer. However, it doesn't allow us to have 2 different font colors in the same cell like Excel has. It would be great to have this feature!

Smartsheet as a PM resource
We use smartsheet for project schedule tracking, schedule dashboards for clients, and some data collection. We have always been impressed with the ease of use and the support offered.
Pros
Easy to use with great collaboration features that allow for across team and client communication so everyone stays up to date on schedules or metrics.
Cons
I think the sheets and schedule features are a little more robust than their dashboard. Though all parts have steadily improved over the 5 or 6 years Ive used Smartsheet.

Very useful project management tool for Architects
I use it regularly and find it very helpful for project management as an architect. Highly recommend.
Pros
Smartsheet is a wonderful tool for me. I use it to create tasks list broken down by project schedule and then can notify key team members about those tasks. They can update whether or not it's been finished so I can keep track of what's been done. I utilize their Gantt charts also to produce project timelines for clients - and in particular clients with whom I have multiple projects, and they can see them all in one place by creating a widget that shows all ongoing timelines in comparison. Very useful.
Cons
I think there is a learning curve to it that can be a bit challenging. And finding the time to access learning resources to get up to speed is difficult at times. I'm not sure there's a good answer to that issue - it is what it is.

Higher Education Smartsheet User
Smartsheets continue to play a vital role in our performance evaluation process. With templates that streamline development and deploying a variety of project management resources it has been a helpful item to have in your back pocket.
Pros
I like the beauty of Smartsheet templates and the ability to customize them to what I need. I also like how easy it is to integrate with other third-party platforms. Smartsheets houses many of our performance and business process flows and will continue to do so in the future.
Cons
I think the platform is easy to pick up and use, but the training aspect left much to be desired. Once you obtain the knowledge to do what you want to do, it is fine.

Smart System for better outcome!
Overall, It is an effective scheduling and task management platform that provides a wide array of helpful templates. We can also create our templates and share them.
Pros
This is a more effective and efficient tool for tracking all requests for small projects
It is a user-friendly interface tool as we are all familiar with MS excel.
It's easy to design distinct workstations for various Projects. Even, we can create a separate folder, sheet, and report for each stream within a project.
The ability to notify users and the appropriate team when a task is created or changed. This helps us to efficiently handle our requests.
The audit functionality within each sheet allows us to easily identify the recent changes and updates. So, we have more insights into what is happening with my request
Cons
It Would also be nice if we could set a dashboard view as the default view for every user
It has limited functionality when compared to other ticketing platforms. So, the big projects may find some difficulties with its functionalities

better planned project management
Pros
Having the follow-up of each task is the best function because it allows me in real time to visualize the progress that is being achieved with each document or task, the work administration makes it easier to do it together with my work team by having a chat in real time to communicate and support us when needed.
Its initial configuration is easy to implement with the help of support that is needed to clarify doubts that arise during configuration
Cons
