Efficient route and Territory planning.
Pros
Easy territory maps for my entire sales team. Including their accounts and ways to navigate to them efficiently.
Cons
You have to be somewhat profecient with computers to manipulate the system to get what you want sometimes.

MBO allows quick visual analysis and long term planning & control tools.
My use of MBO has grown, from a zip code map, then demographic data source, to now - a critical tool for Sales, Operations, and Capacity Management. I still used the basic zip mapping to group all zip codes within a time or distance of a selected site. But now I also use the maps to visually select service point with great accuracy, and to easily identify outliers and missed points of opportunity.
Pros
ALL of my opportunity analysis start with a volume heatmap layered onto a coverage territory. My territories are saved in a template, that is linked to our coverage planning databases (in a different system). The opportunity volume easily can be copy & pasted into MBO. The entire process takes just a minute, and I have a great looking visual analysis for the sales team to work with & share.
Cons
Territory management: I wish that the multiple territory groups could be held on the same map, similar to Datasets, even if only 1 could be displayed at a time. It would also be a plus if territories updates could be linked to source data that is updatable, like the datasets.

Good product that is losing usefulness
It was a good initial experience - learning curve was manageable and price was good - but it features have been decreasing as price increases, and we're just told that they believe they're still a good price with no plan to address the deficiets.
Pros
MapBusinessOnline makes it easy to import and export zip code data for territory mapping.
Cons
Viewer experience is confusing - its made to look like a free trial that will have to be paid. Map organization is severely lacking - there is no way to create folders, and no way to see all maps (ones you created and ones those on your team created) all in one place. There is no way to delete old maps created by people no longer with the company so we have clutter and mess making it very difficult to find the map we need. Price continues to go up as features we used (Salesforce Integration) are discontinued. Value is decreasing. We used to get quarterly zip code updates but they are much less frequent now, to the point we may need to pay for those from another service. There is no way to speak to someone in support - they respond to emails only which makes resolving issues very time consuming and inefficient.

MapBusinessOnline Review
Mostly, I create and refine sales territories with MapBusinessOnline. I then generate demographics reports using the program's provided database, to better understand the sales opportunity and corresponding sales performance for any given territory.
Pros
It is fairly simple to upload data from spread sheets. The demographics database is very useful.
Cons
The map printing module is not very intuitive, you have to go through too many screens to create a map that may not actually be formatted in after it is printed vs. what was shown on the preview, and the scale of the map is not represented numerically (i.e. 85%). This is very problematic if you are printing multiple panes of a large map and accidentally move the slider between panes and then can't tell now the original hash mark you were using.

User friendly and easy to use
Its a good software that gets the job done to a certain level. For more complexity and indepth analysis we have to revert to other softwares.

Pretty easy to use once you've played around a bit. Support has been world class!
Determining addressable market size in each state and county.
Pros
Once you learn the software, it's really quite easy to work in. When I've had issues, the customer support I've received has been unbelievably strong.
Cons
Printing function could use some upgrading. Prints map view of individual state very small, and no way to add any data sets to the view.

Great basic mapping software. Easy to import or export data.
Pros
The program was very easy to learn. When I first started it only took me about five minutes to learn the basics of exporting addresses and exporting territories.
Cons
While the basic tasks were easy to learn, I had trouble with the more complicated tasks even with the online instructions.

Pros
Ease of use - creating a map takes just minutes. We also share maps within our team, but having the ability to share a map with a non-license holder is a nice perk!
Cons
I wish that it would allow for more than 1K territories, but we've found a workaround that meets our needs.

We have used MapBusinessOnline for 4 years now and has completely satisfied our Mapping requirements.
Pros
Territory mapping with different colors an layers per state. I love that you can copy and paste your dataset into the software and quickly generate professional territory mapping based on zip codes.
Cons
Making edit to existing territory mapping when you have to change a few zip codes isn't easy. I found that start from scratch again is the best way. There may be a way of doing so, but I haven't researched enough to see.

Such a smooth tool & allows customization to make it more useful to your business needs
Pros
I have used this software for my personal drone business mapping my clients around the state of FL, but we also started using at my day job to map our factories across the globe. This allows us to keep track of factories and map our spend with each - this allows us to better pick new factories when it comes to consolidating freight with eachother
Cons
The price @ $300 is well worth the spend - but considering it is basically a Google Maps add on tool - you would think Google would try something like this & make it free (w/ small ads)

Thank you for your review and for using Map Business Online for drone work. To be clear - Map Business Online is NOT a Google Add-on tool. Google did the world a service by providing advanced mapping for free for so long. They also put people in the industry out of work, and then took those capabilities away because those services do, in fact, cost a lot of money to support. Google isn't in the business of free. Companies pay Google a lot of $ for marketing, geocoding, .mapping, site reviews, and many other services.

Great Product
I have been using MapBusinessOnline for about 8 months and couldn’t be happier with the services it provides. I have employees and myself who map around 250 routes monthly for our sales team. The interface is easy to use and the abilities are exactly what I need. My sales team finds the maps and step by step routes easy to follow and accurate. My store lists change every quarter and the uploading system allows me to quickly upload a new list and categorize the account by priority using colors and shapes. I have also used the heat mapping capabilities and found those easy to customize and quick to use. As with any advanced software, this does take a week or two to learn the more complex features, but it is well worth the time invested. This is the software I would have designed if I was to create one myself. Great job!!!

A easy to use mapping software
For us we use it to see what areas are hot on the map and what zip codes are grouped together.
Pros
The ability to add by zip code. In our business, we judge by demographics on what areas to promote to.
Cons
So far the only thing missing was the ability to upload a spreadsheet of data to see it at once.

Great Software for Optimizing Sales Routes
Perfect for the Sales Blitz packages that we create.
Pros
This software is efficient and reliable when putting maps together. It optimizes routes so that sales people can cover large areas in a more timely manner. I like the amount of information you can include in the points of interest as well.
Cons
It can be confusing when you first start learning it. There is a learning curve that can get frustrating.

The power to see it!
Overall the value of the product and out put is really solid. Glad we acquired the tool and the licenses!

Allows the business to see things that otherwise would just be data!
Cons
-The tool needs to allow for showing multiple maps at one time
- Bulk uploads and downloads can be very time consuming

Pros
It gives you the perfect visual of the territories that are protected for each and every Franchisee. We don't have to worry even a little about territory protection violations because this software is extremely accurate.
Cons
There is nothing I dislike about using this software. The graphics could be updated a little as it seems like it has been a while since the last. Other than that, I have no complaints regarding this software.

Easy to use the basics for a non-techie person
Pros
This software has helped me in meeting my goals by being able to visualize data. Our data changes on a frequent basis and I am now also using the maps to help my clients "see" what their areas look like. I am certain I have only utilized a small portion of what this software can accomplish. However, I am very happy with what this is doing for mine and my company's goals.
Cons
I would like to see more scheduled, live training done. I have gotten invites for training within a few days or sometimes even the day of.... but my schedule is sometimes booked weeks out.

Overall very good. I've been asked in the past what program we use to display our clients and I happy respond MapBusinessOnline.
Pros
Maps are visually appealing and can easily update data and format how they display.
Cons
We upload a full list of clients nationwide and plot them by type on the map, but would like to easily hide some when looking at a particular market. We would like to be able to do this easily from the map without removing it from our excel list.

Map Business in Health Care
This is an easy fast way to show physicians zip code plots of where patients live. It is extremely useful when deciding to move an office or what areas to target for promotions. Instead of the bubbles I use the option to color code zip codes by number of patients. I almost always change the color scheme because the automatic color schemes do not show a good progression nor a wide enough range.
Downside - it is not user friendly when trying to plot referring sources. It would be nice if it would "count" the number of referrals per referring source and then use the bubble plot method to indicate the number of referrals by source.

Great for communicating to management

The ability to have multiple layers which can be made transparent by %.
The data import was easy.
Love export of data after territories were assigned.

I would like it if the export jpegs were saved online.

Just became licensed and so far have found it to be very intuitive. Was a heavy user of MS MapPoint and like what Map Business Online has done with their product.
