Great entry-level brand management tool; at the right price
I've managed a variety of brands as agency brands using Hootsuite, especially early on in my career. I've considered it for other agency provisions however have opted for more advanced packages.
Pros
Hootsuite provides a variety of easy intuitive tools for online and social media brand management, including customer service and marketing. It's also at an excellent cost.
Cons
It's not as complex or insightful as other tools. But that's because it's cheaper and more basic.

Less than favorable customer service...
For the amount that Hootsuite charges the services became less than favorable to say the least. There are so many other platforms offering the same services making it ridiculous to deal with Hootsuites lack of customer service.
Pros
I liked the Hootsuite calendar tools and the ability to streamline my social media activity.
Cons
Hootsuite failed to offer reliable customer service. I had issues with billing and they repeatedly failed to remedy the flaws in their system.

Powerful, Time-Saving Social Media Solution for Serious Users
Overall, Hootsuite has been an invaluable tool for managing my social media presence. It provides a powerful suite of features that streamline planning, scheduling, and analytics, which has allowed me to stay on top of content with ease. While the learning curve and cost may be considerations, especially for new users, the time saved and the value added make Hootsuite an excellent investment in my social media strategy.
Pros
The ability to streamline all my social media accounts into one easy-to-navigate dashboard is a game-changer. Scheduling content across multiple platforms saves hours each week, and Hootsuite’s analytics provide deep insights that help improve my strategy. It’s perfect for handling the social presence of a growing brand or small business, giving me all the tools I need in one place.
Cons
The pricing for premium features feels a bit steep, especially for small businesses or independent users who don’t need all the bells and whistles. The dashboard can also feel a bit crowded at times, which makes it challenging for new users to get comfortable. Finally, customer support could be more responsive, as it sometimes takes a while to get help when you need it.
Reasons for Switching to Hootsuite
I chose Hootsuite because of its comprehensive feature set, which combines scheduling, analytics, and social listening tools in one platform. While Buffer and Later are great for scheduling, they don’t offer the same level of analytics and multi-platform support. Sprout Social was also a consideration, but Hootsuite’s pricing and user-friendly interface suited my needs better.- Industry: Design

A great tool for social media management
It has been a great software and a game-changer for the marketing and analytics teams. It saves a lot of time and effort in posting content on multiple platforms. Its in-depth analysis has helped our team expand our reach and business.
Pros
It is a great and efficient scheduler for my posts across various social media platforms. It has an interactive user-interface, which helps do the work efficiently. Using its intelligence, the software also informs me the right time to post my content to enhance the user-engagement. Customer support is also good and prompt. It also offers an in-depth post analytics, for proper insights.
Cons
The pricing, in my opinion, is on the higher side, as compared to what its competitors are offering. Its posting feature on Instagram needs to be improved, otherwise it is a great tool

It is like my mission control for all things social media. I can schedule posts across all my channels, keep an eye on what people are saying, and see how my posts are performing, all in one place. It's a real time-saver.

Easy-to-use one-stop social media marketing platform - but moving out of budget range
Hootsuite has been an excellent tool for me while starting out in the role of marketing and communications for my Library, but given the skyrocketing price, we will not be continuing to use it. I appreciate all the integrations and time saving features, but this is not enough to offset the increase in cost, from my own personal perspective as well as from the perspective of our board's financial team.
Pros
Hootsuite is a cohesive one-stop marketing platform that allows for management of multiple social media channels in one site. I appreciate the ability to create content for multiple platforms simultaneously, while still being able to tailor aspects of it such as post text, hashtags, and images size ratios, to specific platforms. Newly added integration with Canva further streamlined my workflow allowing me to create one design for all marketing for a particular program or service, then use it in print, digital, social, and internal marketing efforts. Hootsuite also offers a customizable analytics dashboard that allows me to see how well marketing efforts have done in a certain time frame, and break it down further by platform.
Cons
The pricing has jumped dramatically, as per an email from the company last week, nearly doubling and making it unaffordable on our nonprofit budget. I am also less than satisfied with the analytics as a whole, as I was struggling to see the performance of particular posts as a single entity, and TikTok and YouTube analytics have not integrated well. I also find that since we have had to disable Facebook comments, I cannot do this in Hootsuite and need to manually go into Facebook after every post goes live and change this setting myself.

Social media will always be up to date
As long as I use hootsuite wherever I am, my busyness and lack of time for social media maintenance is greatly helped, I am used to scheduling my content for social media platforms, then I can also pull reporting on my customer engagement on my posts, which ones are more interested in my posts, the time when many followers like my posts and I can also multi-manage accounts with the team, so that I as an administrator can do other work but I can also do other work.
Pros
Hootsuite is a tool that can help you track and manage multiple social media platforms simultaneously. Created by [sensitive content hidden]
, it can monitor what people have been saying about your brand and help you respond instantly.Through Hootsuite, you can instantly connect to networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ so you can post updates or reply to responses instantly without having to go to these sites. With multiple accounts to manage for business, Hootsuite is a popular and reliable tool for many companies today.Scheduling PostsAnother important reason to use Hootsuite is that it allows you to schedule messages across all social media platforms. This can help you create a solid social media strategy, such as placing the right time at a certain hour so that followers will always pay attention to the content. Simply choose a time that works for your marketing needs.
Cons
Engagement tracking I need to explore and learn more to analyze the extent of my brand's engagement with customers. But, Hootsuite always provides clear and accurate reporting with the conditions in the field.

THE tool for employee social media ambassadors
Pros
Excellent integration with supported social networks, easy post scheduling and customization, gamification leaderboard.
Cons
Cannot mention LinkedIn entities from Hootsuite composer. This is a LinkedIn API limitation and not a Hootsuite one. Lack of support for the Fediverse, Threads, and BlueSky are glaring omissions.

Feature rich but heavy
Pros
Hootsuite made managing multiple brands simpler with its scheduling calendar that gave an overview of the scheduled posts on each platform. Analytics for each platform was more than sufficient for reporting page growth, user engagement, and video views.
Cons
Navigating through the web app uses up a lot of the browser's resources, causing the overall experience to feel heavy. While it's overall relatively reliable, uploading large files for posts can cause everything to come to a halt, while you hope the upload is successful or having to try again.
