About Resolver

Resolver’s risk management software is a cloud-based solution for midsize to larger enterprises that serves customers across a variety of industries and business needs. These industries include banking and financial services, healthcare and hospitals, insurance, academic institutions, critical infrastructure organizations, airports, oil and gas, utilities, manufacturers, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, high tech, government, retail, real estate and more. The software enables users to manage their risk aversion and mitigation plans, budgets and forecasts all from a single solution. It assists in connecting risks to incidents, so that assessments of what could happen are linked to what did happen. With this connection, you can quantify the impact of your risk mitigation plans, identify where your risk register has gaps, and where risk assessments were overly confident. Users can create customized reports and make data-driven decisions with full visibility into their organization. Resolver’s software is cloud-based and is supported on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Key features include automated risk processes, custom trigger alerts, risk scoring, real-time continuous risk assessments, configurable drag-and-drop dashboards, ISO management, response management, internal controls management, ERM and ORM. It can be integrated with incident management, compliance, IT risk and compliance, vendor risk and internal audit applications.

Great GRC solution for our credit union

Great experience, they have been really helpful and the tech support team are always willing to help and respond quickly.

Pros

Library-based solution with integrations between Risk and Audit. I enjoy that I can customize reports and processes to meet our organization's needs.

Cons

User setup can be confusing when onboarding new employees into the software. There are so many custom items a user can have access to it can be difficult to identify the correct options.

It's not great, but it works.

The layout for the new Resolver is more intuitive than the old Perspective system, while maintaining enough similarities that learning the new system is manageable.
Perspective froze, crashed and malfunctioned frequently. So far Resolver has been more stable.
The loss of shortcut keys is a major inconvenience, and I really hope this feature is reintroduced in future updates.
I would really like to see Resolver as a standalone program rather than a browser-based program. It would be more convenient to launch and easier to find in the taskbar when I have multiple windows open. It also wouldn't get buried amongst other browser tabs.

Pros

Shortcut keys (Ctrl+N to start navigation mode, Ctrl+S to start dispatch log etc.) made usage much faster, which matters a lot when busy. (this function has been removed in the current version, which is awful)

Templates are super useful to prompt for relevant information and maintain consistency.

Cons

The removal of shortcut keys! Having to use the mouse constantly drastically slows down usage.

Also, having to open the dispatch log via the browser is annoying. Every other program I use can be added to startup so it opens when I boot up the computer. this is the only program I have to open manually.

Resolver - ASsoftware Company Like No Other

From the initial deployment, I have had the full attention of teh team, and I made many requests, each one was dealt with on a timely basis and with that support, I was able to design our program to be easy to use, and "idiot proof" - lolol

Pros

Support is stellar! No matter what the issue may be, whether its a question, or a configuration request, the turn around time is spot-on.

Cons

There's really nothing I don't like. This is truly an awesome company.

Resolver System Review

Overall, a great experience. The system delivers in many ways, is easy to use by end users who do not use the system on a daily basis and is reliable. Also feel very supported by the Resolver support team when we need help or guidance.

Pros

Resolver is extremely flexible. We have managed to develop out from core risk management and compliance processes to adapt to other areas of the business such as people and insurance processes whilst maintaining the connectivity of an enterprise system.

Cons

The reporting could be improved to deliver better presented reports that can transfer directly into board reporting

Pros

I like the high degree of customisation and the user-friendly interface and the ability to build custom templates and portals.

Cons

A Good Risk Solution

Overall I think it has greatly improved our processed as it has allowed us to manage our risk data and reporting in a simple yet powerful way.

Pros

I think that ability to customise forms and reports and the ease of it means you don't have to depend on a third party to do it for you really allow for you to improve and adapt new process quickly and with little fuss.

Cons

The biggest bugbear I found is that when you enter a date in a date field it will not accept this as the date, you have to select the date from a little pop up calendar which doesn't make sense if you enter the date in the correct format.

Keeps getting better

Resolver is a resilient, constantly improving platform that makes the day to day management of Incidents and Risk simple and easy.
The fact that it is cloud based means you can log in easily from the office, from home or on the go and it works just as well on mobile as it does on desktop.
Implementation can be a little tricky, especially if you have extensive bespoke requirements, which we do, but Resolver addressed them head on, and after much collaboration and cooperation we have a system that perfectly meets our needs and rarely, if ever lets us down.

Pros

Resolver are constantly innovating and improving which means the platform keeps getting better. We receive several upgrades a year at no extra cost.
In addition, their support team are fantastic and usually respond to issues quickly and efficiently.

Cons

Whilst the support team are fantastic, the implementation team were a bit more of a challenge. It took longer than promised to finish implementation and took a second run to iron out some longstanding issues, but to be fair to resolver they did this free of charge and we were fairly early adopters following their switch to the Core platform from Resolver.

Resolver sent me £400!

It was so easy. I supplied some basic information, and they did all the work.

Pros

I actually used Resolver when the Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) claims came to light. There were people having refunds of thousands. This was the case if you had lots of loans. I had a small buy-now-pay-later over a 4-year period and a further similar product, but both, so small that I thought a claim would be insignificant. The claim window was about to end for everyone so I sent a few details into Resolver (recommended by Money Saving Expert website). They did all the work for free, and paid me £400 in total!

Cons

It's just having the confidence to fill the online forms out and go for it.

Pretty good. Simple, efficient and straightforward to use :)

Pros

Keeps a record of all the incidents/CA/Issues within the organisation. Love how theres a Relationship graph to show whats connected. Great how you can pull up a Incident Summary report to show the severity/status of the incidents - would be good if you could export it or download it).

Cons

Would be good if there is a function where Admin users can create Mandatory requirements for the users to fill out.

Risk Manager

So far it has been great, still working through it as a new user, will need to get better feedback form the business as it gets further communicated and implemented.

Pros

The Service and support provided was excellent. I was able to get super quick responses and direction from my resolver account manager and also the ticket lodgment and support team was so good and give direction.

Cons

The system can be a bit a little complex in certain aspects, for example in a formulating the forms and understand the back in rules can be hard. Might be helpful to potentially have some quick video generated on the more complex items that might be seen across as feedback from various users.

I'm sure once you get a better handle of certain intricacies of formulating the requirements, its easy to work through but then, if there is no technical expertise on the back-end system rules, it can be a little frustrating to move ahead on next steps.

Core daily use

The program is not what we expected and it's not providing the information we need. It's slow, when we do our weekly meeting we run different queries to look at reports and we always have to sit and wait for it to g to the requested area.

Pros

We are not happy with the software. We are not able to run the type of reports that we need. There is very limited or if any training. A one time email about a program is difficult to sit down and try to figure out. I am sure there are options that we are not using but it's too time consuming to try and figure this out. A 2-3 day training session would be a significant improvement.

Cons

The reporting process about this software. If we query all open or closed calls that are assigned to a specific person you are not able to clear that and search someone else, even if you change things in the search. It continues to constantly bring up the same person. Incident and investigations are very difficult to search for past reports. The system is very slow and not user friendly.
