In 2012, as our clinical needs grew, we started using Care360 until 2019-2020, when its parent company, Quest Quanum, started to phase it out. We started using Tebra and then Rxnt. In 2023, we started our subscription to DrChrono because its platform was based on IOS and its mobile features ( its compatibility with IPAD and Iphone) were appealing. > > **Cons**: Multiple Issues: 1. Data extraction from our previous EHR (which was done for an additional fee) was not mapped correctly. 2. On-Boarding failed to generate simple forms we needed(neither a printable blank superbill encounter ticket, nor a blank clinical template form for pasting a note generated via an external ambient listening software). 3. Electronic prescribing failed to send a single prescription. The issue could not be fixed by the tech support, therefore, we switched back to our previous/current vendor's (RXNT) e-prescribing that works very efficiently. 4. DrChrono' s Practice Management component failed frequently to determine patient's insurance eligibility at the time of visit, so we switched back to the previous vendor. 5. Starting a clinical note is rather tedious: A note can not be started after pulling a patient's chart. The patient will need to be placed on the schedule first before a clinical note could be started on that patient. > > 5\. Poor customer support: the customer support never calls back when a call drops. 6. DrChrono' s Accounting \& billing department commits out right fraudulent financial practices (probably on the directives from their corporate office) as evidenced by the following facts: a- DrChrono' s subscription agreement doesn't include an exit clause even in case of their product failure. b- DrChrono' s accounting \& billing department ("the back office") never follow's on complaints tickets generated by their customer service ("front office". c- Drchrono's accounting and billing department automatically renews physicians subscription without sending reminders to subscribing physicians, and despite the multiple complaints about the failure of their products and despite multiple request for cancelation of their subscription. Overall assessment: 1. Drchrono is definitely an over-rated product (both their ehr and e-prescribing). 2. Drchrono's financial practices seem to be fraudulent by entrapping physcians in financial agreements (by not responding to physicians' complaints and grievance, and by renewing their agreement with sending out reminders). Notes to physicians who feel entrapped by Drchron's agreements: 1. Talk to your financial institutions to stop automatic payments to Crchrono. 2. Resort to your legal resources, if Drchrono does not release you from the agreement and/or refund you the money you have paid to Drchrono without being able to use their products. ----- ### "No Practical Medical Decision Makers @ Dr Chrono" — 1.0/5 > **Todd** | *3 December 2025* | Health, Wellness & Fitness | Recommendation rating: 0.0/10 > > **Pros**: The pros were pricing in the beginning, but the functionality has continued to decline, and we will be moving to another EMR. For the reasons stated below > > **Cons**: Management and IT are making updates and policy updates that don't even work in the medical field. They need a board of clinical and administrative personnel to advise on functionality. They are making changes that will run customers off\!\! > > Several major disappointments, but most recently Dr Chrono implemented a new policy that the EMR will not allow any staff, not even licensed staff, RN, LPN, etc, to send in a non-controlled prescription. All Prescriptions, even a BP refill can only be sent by the provider. This is not a new regulation from the state medical boards or DEA, and that same non-controlled RX can be called in by those same staff members. In a busy medical practice, providers do not have time to review a draft prescription and send in all the new prescriptions, much less all the routine refills and med changes, based on standing orders. Makes no sense to put these barriers in healthcare.
