BeyondTrust is required for remote access control
It is a great tool and is easy to use and to teach the end user how to connect and how to create a temporary connection to the third party and how to check the logs and records to find out what happened on that connection. It is a super recommended tool.
Pros
What I like most about BeyondTrust is the ability to control remote connections and have continuos monitoring of who is using the tool and their behavior when the remote connection is established.
Cons
Sometimes when the remote connections are delays or have networking problems the ability to copy and paste is interrumped. It is needed to create a new remote connection to use the funtionality to copy and paste from the source or the destination.

Good Product but Could Use Some Improvements
Pros
It's a good product for being CJIS compliant, the biggest reason why we chose it. It's secure and mostly does what we need it to go.
Cons
Taking screenshots and recordings like with ScreenConnect would be nice. Ways to display multiple monitors and transferring files would also be nice. Sometimes it does not accept admin credentials even though we know they are correct, especially Entra credentials

BeyondTrust - The last remote support tool you will buy.
We started out with just a few licenses and during COVID added more since more users were at home but afterwards we realized how great it was and kept our licenses because we use it so much more.
Pros
We have loved everything about this tool. The fact that we can easily remote into any machine, whether on campus or off and if they are connected to the domain we can do a jump straight to that device without having the user do anything.
Cons
I don't know that I have found anything I don't like about BeyondTrust Remote Support. If I had to say anything it might be that it's complicated to add SSO users as admins.

The initial setup is not very intuitive. It can be challenging to find the exact options that work for a specific environment. App deployment can be tricky with the installer deleting after installation.

Like I mentioned above we often use BeyondTrust Remote Support tool to resolve various types of issues of our customers. Some unique features of Remote Support tool make it irreplaceable for us.
Pros
BeyondTrust Remote Support (formerly Bomgar) supports many end user environments - Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Linux, OS X, Windows, Windows Mobile.
As I previously mentioned the Remote Support tool has some unique features I often use - you can avoid typing very complex password by using copy/paste function in Windows pre-logon screen, run the applications under SYSTEM account in remove CLI session, etc. Remote Support makes those features easy to use.
The Remote Support from BeyondTrust has many other useful features and easy to use. BeyondTrust is our main remote support tool.
Cons
Unfortunately the licensing cost (per representative) is still very high. Because of that we use the tool almost full working day and even more. Sometimes our team members has to wait for available remote support license.

Bomgar remote support is an essential tool for big organizations that need to provide remote support or o access to remote servers.I like that my division and team can save and classify all the servers so that you can search them and access remotely so quickly. Additionally, having file transfer and session invitations integrated makes the thing so comfortable
Cons
A couple of times my account has been blocked, probably by several wrong password attempts, and Bomgar remsupport web portal didn’t have the password recovery/reset option by myself and I needed to contact support and wait for their assistance.

Pros
The ability to pin endpoints and have quick and easy access to them makes supporting our users so much easier. I can literally take a call and be in their machine withing 10 second of the user telling me their issue.
Cons
Remote support for mobile devices is a bit more involved. It requires the user installing the remote support app, entering site URL and session key, and enabling screen recording (for iOS devices). It's still not terrible, but it would be nice to have a quicker option. Probably just a limitation of mobile devices though.

Cons
The only thing I would say is a bit troublesome is when it is time to make a new package for deployment, it is a lengthy process since I need to make one standard, one for exec PCs, one for Conference Rooms and one for the Support Button. It can get a bit tedious but that is also just due to our environment. Some can get away with maybe only 1 or 2 deployment package options
