This would be fine if most insurance carriers understood and accepted this however they pay our scopes based solely on Xactimate pricing of labor and materials and decline our O\&P approximately 85% of the time. The amount of time spent in Xactimate, the costs associated and the skill level needed to use it efficiently should be accounted for. Xactimate can only be used in Windows which for MAC users, like myself, we have to purchase a separate computer or program to run.
