The JavaScript-based WYSIWYG editor in ATutor allows staff members to edit and format course material without using HTML. The Accessibility Checker helps authors review the accessibility of their content by automatically identifying known accessibility problems. 


ATutor allows educators to gather and generate a reading list of books, URLs, papers and other resources related to particular topics. The Test Manager enables instructors to create tests with true/false, multiple-choice, ordering, Likert, multiple answers, drag and drop, matching and several open-ended question types.

> **Pros**: Its available both as open source and a hosted version . The hosted version has very affordable pricing and even scalability is not too steep. 

Can make your own courses on the platform and even import external files .

> **Cons**: The look and feel is like that of 90s \! Needs lift in GUI badly . Besides that , the ATutor icon at the bottom even on paid hosted version can be a big letdown for some people.
