> Endpoint Central is a unified endpoint management and security platform built for IT teams managing diverse device environments. It brings together the core functions of endpoint management, patching, software deployment, remote access, mobile device management, and security into a single console, reducing the need to operate multiple disconnected tools.

Endpoint Management Across Every OS
The platform supports Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and Chrome OS, giving IT teams consistent control across all device types. From initial provisioning through ongoing configuration management to decommissioning, Endpoint Central handles the full device lifecycle without requiring separate solutions for each operating system.

Patch Management
Patch deployment is automated across operating systems and 1000+ third-party applications. IT teams can define deployment policies, test patches before rollout, schedule updates within approved maintenance windows, and monitor compliance across the fleet. This reduces manual effort and shortens time to remediation.

Remote Desktop and Support
Built-in remote desktop capabilities allow IT technicians to connect to endpoints instantly and resolve issues in real time. File transfer, session recording, and multi-monitor support are included, removing dependency on third-party remote tools and accelerating support for distributed workforces.

Software Deployment and Inventory
Applications can be deployed, updated, or uninstalled across thousands of endpoints simultaneously using custom deployment policies. The platform maintains a continuously updated inventory of hardware and software assets to support license compliance, audit readiness, and capacity planning.

Mobile Device Management
Endpoint Central includes integrated MDM for iOS and Android devices. IT teams can enroll devices, push configuration profiles, distribute applications, enforce security policies, and perform remote actions, including selective or full device wipe. Both corporate-owned and BYOD environments are supported.

OS Imaging and Provisioning
OS imaging workflows allow IT teams to build, manage, and deploy standardized system images across the organization. New devices can be provisioned quickly and consistently, reducing setup time and ensuring uniform configurations from day one.

Endpoint Security
Security capabilities are built into the platform rather than requiring a separate product. Vulnerability assessment surfaces weaknesses ranked by severity. Application control prevents unauthorized software execution. Device control manages USB and peripheral access. Endpoint privilege management removes unnecessary local admin rights while supporting approved elevation. Browser security policies reduce web-based exposure. BitLocker and FileVault management enforces disk encryption across Windows and macOS.

Deployment Options and Editions
Endpoint Central is available as a cloud-hosted solution or an on-premises installation. Five editions are available: Free, Professional, Enterprise, UEM, and Security. Each edition builds on the previous, allowing organizations to start with core management capabilities and expand into advanced security features as needs evolve.

Who It Is Built For
Endpoint Central is used by IT administrators, systems engineers, and security teams across healthcare, finance, education, manufacturing, and the public sector. It is suited for organizations managing hundreds to tens of thousands of endpoints looking to consolidate operations, reduce tool sprawl, and improve security posture.

## Reviews

### "This title satisfies the minimum character requirement and aligns well with a 5-star review." — 5.0/5

> **Patha** | *28 July 2026* | Computer & Network Security | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The support provided by the ManageEngine team has been excellent. The product offers great value for money and has helped us efficiently manage endpoints through patch management, software deployment, inventory management, and remote troubleshooting.
>
> **Cons**: The user interface can be improved to make navigation more intuitive. Some advanced features require additional configuration and documentation, which can make the initial setup and administration more time-consuming.
>
> Overall, our experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been very positive. It has significantly simplified endpoint management by automating patch deployment, software installation, inventory management, and remote support. The technical support team is responsive, and the product delivers excellent value for organizations managing a large number of devices.

### "Remote work environment, becoming essential for this." — 4.0/5

> **Jose** | *21 July 2026* | Telecommunications | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Works to manage most everything you may need without a windows pro or enterprise license as I had some endpoints with home version. Can manage view connect push software and maintain quick access to troubleshoot with employees. Setup is simple and has many customizable options for what you want to achieve. Cost is very nice, free version has allowed us to explore a bit further with up to 25 endpoints, making us plan how this will improve when we increase the demand for 2 dollars once we cross this limit, I believe its hard to beat.
>
> **Cons**: After initial installation of agent sometimes it would delay on scanning or agent would not work appropriately, would need system reboot or reinstalling agent, would appreciate quicker process here for new devices. Has many options that I have not explored yet for patching updates software uninstallation. Learning curve on the UI but once understood is easier.
>
> Very good, once you start using it you get the hang of how to, my most used is reviewing system, software, audits, remote connection, some deployments but mainly now remote control for quick connection to users. I tried this mainly on Opera and occasionally on edge, seems good, occasional issue loading but could be my network. Is lightweight with users, I was connected with a user that had 1mbps down and 1.5mbps up and still was ok, didn't crash or even pixelate.

### "Balanced Overall Product" — 5.0/5

> **Anonymous User** | *15 May 2026* | Food & Beverages | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The improved and enhanced ability to create custom user and computer configurations along with the ability to customize patching to support flexibility throughout our environment.
>
> **Cons**: 3rd party application patching is still a challenge. Most 3rd party apps require a task kill to be ran in order for the patch to occur and the product does not offer that function within the Deployment Policies so we often time have those patches fail to install.
>
> Regardless of the challenge of 3rd party application patching, the product overall is still one of the best and strongest available. From asset management to software deployment the product continues to excel.

### "Gets the job done across a mixed endpoint fleet" — 5.0/5

> **Muralidhar** | *11 June 2026* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: We manage a mix of Windows 11 and MacBooks spread across multiple geographies and Endpoint Central Cloud has honestly made that a lot more manageable than it used to be. The patch management is where it really earns its keep. OS-level and third-party app patching from one console, with automated deployment policies, means my team isn't spending weekends chasing updates manually. Software deployment is straightforward once you've got the packages configured, and the remote control feature is something our helpdesk uses daily. The cloud version specifically is a big plus — no infra to babysit, and agents connect back reliably even for remote employees.
>
> **Cons**: Reporting is the biggest gap for us when it comes to compliance based audit reports. When you need to demonstrate patch compliance for an audit, the built-in reports don't always give you the granularity or the right terminology that auditors are looking for. You end up exporting to Excel and massaging the data yourself. The UI has improved but it's still quite dense, finding a specific setting when you're in a hurry isn't always quick. And occasionally patch deployment failures come back with error codes.
>
> It's a solid platform and for the price point compared to alternatives we evaluated, it delivers good value. It's not a "set it and forget it" tool, you need to invest time upfront to structure your patch policies, device groups, and deployment windows properly. But once that's done, day-to-day operations run smoothly. Support has been responsive on the few occasions we've raised tickets. I would recommend it for mid-sized IT teams managing distributed fleets, just go in knowing the reporting side will need some workarounds if you have compliance reporting needs.

### "Great Product" — 5.0/5

> **Austin** | *29 June 2026* | Hospital & Health Care | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I enjoying being able to remote into devices with ease, find patches that need to be deployed, and deploy out certs and other configurations that Intune cannot handle.
>
> **Cons**: I have previously run into issues, but the Manage Engine support team has been able to resolve them quickly for us.
>
> Manage Engine has been a great product to our organization from System Admins down to the Help Desk Techs.
