Why I Swear by 17hats for Running My Biz
Been rocking with 17hats since 2015 and, let me tell you, it’s the real deal for keeping my business smooth and sorted. The invoicing? A breeze. The support team? Superstars—they’ve got your back 24/7.
I’m so into 17hats that I'm an Ambassador, I teach their workshops, have co-written their certification curriculum, and even got to show off their stuff at Shutterfest 2022! Plus, my team sets up multiple 17hats accounts for clients yearly because it’s just that good and we fully recommend the platform to everyone.
If you’re running a small business and want to ditch the chaos, 17hats is your friend. It's all about making your life easier, and who doesn't want that?
10/10, would recommend—every. single. time.
Pros
Nearly everything, but specifically invoicing
Cons
I can't think of anything that I dislike.

The Potential Is There!
I was looking for a platform that could serve several functions at a reasonable price point. I found it in 17 Hats, and I’m always learning something new.
Pros
It’s comprehensive. I was looking for an all-in-one solution for booking, invoicing, and workflow management.
Cons
The Booking function doesn’t have all the features you see in other booking platforms such as manual scheduling and schedule blocking. It’s a little clunky but I believe it’s still being developed.
Reasons for Choosing 17hats
I didn’t like that WaveApps is now owned by H&R Block. I needed a CRM anyway, so it would’ve been redundant to stay with WaveApps.Switched From

I love it! It saves my sainity!
I bought them over 10 years ago on the basic plan to just get myself going. And then i had a corporate job and negelected them for 5 years. Finally i went back to my business and had to do a massive cleanup due to me not organizing 17hats correctly to begin with.
Pros
It can be as simple or as complex as your business needs it to be! No flat one price fits all.
Cons
For the longest time they didnt have an app but now they do... they dodnt have online booking but now they do... honeslty i cant think of anything..

Poor Quality
Pretty awful. I learned of 17 hats at a convention. I am in the wedding industry and create one of a kind ceremonies for couples. After speaking with the reps, I was convinced that 17 hats would be easy and be of great help for streamlining my business. I spent at least 30 hours watching videos and inputting data, templates, questionnaires and still was not successful. It seemed to be an endless learning curve for me. I even bought the business tips videos at an additional fee thinking that would help. It was more about how to grow my business rather than helping me understand 17 hats. Once I decided to close my account, they were helpful in guiding me however, they did not ask me what they could have done better. Very disappointing.
Pros
I liked the idea of templates, streamlining and having everything in one place.
Cons
Where do I begin? Customer service is only via text messaging or email and response takes up to 3 hours. I cannot speak to anyone on the phone which was extremely frustrating. All the learning is through videos and I think the videos are well done, however, I prefer a more personal approach. The learning curve for me was extremely high as I am not a techy person to begin with. I even bought the additional business tips videos and that was more of a how to grow my business verses how to work with 17 hats. Eventually, I gave up because there was so much to learn. It was a complete waste of my time and money.

Essential CRM for Small Business
My overall experience with 17hats has been nothing short of exceptional. It’s more than just a CRM; it’s a comprehensive tool that has fundamentally transformed how I manage my business. The time it saves and the peace of mind it provides are invaluable. I genuinely appreciate the company’s dedication to continuous improvement and their commitment to fostering a supportive community for small business owners. My love for 17hats runs so deep that I became a brand ambassador—entirely unpaid and without any additional perks, since I already have a lifetime membership. I’m simply passionate about sharing how much this platform has made a difference in my business.
Pros
What I love most about 17hats is its all-in-one functionality that truly streamlines my workflow. It handles everything from client management to invoicing, contracts, and scheduling—saving me hours of work each week. Additionally, the constant updates and improvements show that the company genuinely cares about its users, which is a rare and valuable quality.
Cons
Personally, I love everything about it! The only downside for some people is the learning curve when first getting started. With so many features, it can be a bit overwhelming at the beginning (I'm super techy so it was easy for me). However, they have a really extensive help section with video tutorials that walk you through everything step by step, which makes the learning process much easier.

Streamlined Workflow with Robust Features
Overall, my experience with 17hats has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s been a game-changer for managing my business efficiently and professionally. The platform has significantly reduced the time I spend on administrative tasks, enabling me to concentrate on what I love most—photography. The seamless integration of different tools within 17hats has made my workflow more streamlined and less stressful. I highly recommend it to other photographers or small business owners looking for a reliable business solution.
Pros
What I like most about 17hats is its ability to centralize all aspects of my business operations into one platform. From client management to invoicing, contracts, and automated workflows, 17hats simplifies tasks that would otherwise take much longer to manage. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate, and the automation features have saved me countless hours, allowing me to focus more on my photography services and less on administrative work.
Cons
While 17hats is incredibly comprehensive, I sometimes find that it offers so many features that it can take a little time to explore and fully utilize everything it has to offer. However, this isn't necessarily a con, as it just means there's always something new to learn and ways to further optimize my workflow.

"Streamlined Project Management with 17Hats"
17Hats has been a game-changer for my business, allowing me to manage projects, send quotes, and handle contracts and invoices all in one place. The ability to create customized workflows for each project type has significantly improved my efficiency.
Pros
17Hats excels in keeping my business organized. I use it for every project, and its intuitive interface and streamlined workflows have made managing my business much simpler. The all-in-one platform has saved me countless hours by centralizing project management tasks.
Cons
The only area where 17Hats falls short is in its bookkeeping features. While it offers basic financial tracking, it lacks advanced accounting tools found in dedicated software. I miss the ability to capture and upload receipts directly, and I would appreciate the option to automate recurring expenses.

Easy to use and very functional
Overall worked well, just lacked features I needed.
Pros
It is easy and affordable. It was simple to set up and provided an easy to use interface for my clients.
Cons
Lacked features like lead tracking which is key for my business. It just seemed very entry level and while it worked at first, I needed more features.

Love 17hats for small business
I've been using 17hats for years and absolutely love it. Now that I'm hiring a team, I'm finding that it's not a good system to be able to organize leads to different team members and what they can view.
Pros
Simple, easy to use system for solopreneurs with lots of features to keep your business organized.
Cons
The lead dashboard feature could be improved so much. It would be nice to have the ability to move clients from leads, to active client and back to lead again when they come back to work with you again. I also don't like that text message notifications were turned off!

Great platform for all businesses
Pros
There are many pros to 17hats - first, you can try this for free for a month to get a feel for the platform and test out all of the functionalities. It's easy to workflows, integrate email, quotes, invoices, contracts - and you can easily sign off to accept a quote and contract right on the platform.
Cons
I did have some cons when I first used 17hats a few years ago, and stopped for about 6 months and came back after trying something else out. In that time, they had made a bunch of upgrades to the platform and made it much easier to set up new projects and organize all of your documents within each project. As of right now, I don't have any cons using 17hats.

Okay
It was a good start for my business.
Pros
It had a good tracking for when documents were sent to clients.
Cons
The payment integration cost more and since it’s an essential feature, it is a steep cost. Especially when we already pay the payment managers merchant fees as well. Also, the software doesn’t offer inventory management, which is why I left.

It’s okay.
It was fine for what I needed to do. Nothing fancy. Just contracts (which I struggled with). But then I needed to start offering more tools to my clients as my clientele grew and it wasn’t working for me anymore
Pros
The only thing I like about 17hats is that it (almost) lets you get done what you need to get done. Basically just contracts, invoices, and bookkeeping.
Cons
It’s not user friendly at all. I’ve been using this for over 2 years and there are still features I’m finding out how to use. It’s kinda a messy program.

Quadruple your productivity!
I really lucked out by getting in on this at the beginning and I was able to lock in a great rate, however, I would still pay full price for this today if I had to. Being a small business owner has it's many challenges, especially when you have to do everything yourself. Since I've signed on with 17hats I've been able to sign contracts, accept payments, and streamline the booking and communication process all while I'm away from my desk. I would never be able to pull this off without a platform such as this. In addition, it helps me to keep track of my bookkeeping, and my workflows, reminding me of my To Do's and when to do them! No software is perfect but they are constantly improving and listening to suggestions, and whenever I need assistance they are quick to respond. Since I've signed on with 17 hats a year ago, my business has almost doubled, partly due to the streamlined communication and payment processes of 17hats, and because of the ease of this platform I'm able to handle it all without hiring and cutting into profits. AMAZING!

Amazing CRM Software with incredible support
Pros
17hats does so much more than just the basics. It manages incoming leads, turns them into invoices, and allows me to set up workflows so the system does much of the work for me. It has saved my company a ton of time and probably money, too. The support team is incredibly responsive and helpful.
Cons
The accounting is lacking, but it's not meant to be a primary accounting software. It has the ability to sync with Quickbooks Online which works.

17Hats - Not just for photographers!
17Hats is fantastic and I use it everyday to manage my business. it allows me to see an overview of what needs to be done for each client. On the invoice/payment side it help automate the process of sending invoices and collecting payments. It was originally design for free lance photographers, but is very useful for any type of freelance business.
Pros
17Hats is a great all-in-one client management system that is easy to use and implement in your business.
Cons
I would like more options on recurring invoicing.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I'm an event florist, and I've been with 17hats since 2015. And I love that it's grown in so many ways, and it's becoming better and better each update. There's a learning curve, as with any system, but after having a few personal one on one sessions, I feel so comfortable with this system! I hated other systems as they were so complicated. I like easy peasy, and this is just that. Can be it prettier like other systems, sure... Can it have more features... Sure... But the best part is that you can tell them your wants, and if enough people want them, they'll DO IT! So don't knock it till you try it!

Helped streamline workflow
Pros
We use this for everything with our family handyman business and it creates a more professional front than we had before, more organization and efficiency for us on the business side and was easy to teach our office staff member to use.
Cons
Once when we had an issue with the platform being inaccessible/down for us, the customer support response was on the slow side.

17hats!
My overall experience with 17hats has been great. Even the tutorials are easy to understand!
Pros
I think 17hats is a great software! It seems so streamline and easy to use. I like how the calendar can connect with other calendars that someone may be using, and it keeps all the invoices and emails in one location. Which makes it easy to locate!
Cons
I have not run into anything that I dislike about this software. When running a business, you need a software that will keep things simple and organized and that is what 17hats is all about.

A good software for smaller 1-person agencies
The tech support I've received has been solid. I like the software and I'm going to continue using it for now.
Pros
Quoting is fantastic. I can send a quote out with the contract and a payment schedule attached. When the person accepts the quote, they then get sent the contract. After that they are shown the payment schedule.
Building a quote is equally great because I can offer three sections. First section: the required items of the quote. Second section: Choose one of the options. Third section: Choose any of the options.
This has been very helpful for website design where I put the website design in the first section, me hosting or them hosting in the second section, and add-ons like maintenance, SEM, e-Commerce, and more in the third section.
Cons
Customers can't setup automatic payments for recurring invoices.

Pros

Cons

Brilliant Software with so much to offer!
This does my accounting mainly and is also a source of inspiration for contracts and templates. There is a marketplace where you can review and purchase additional templates of all sorts for various industries.
Well worth the money.
Pros
The automation of follow up invoicing is brilliant.
This software does so much more than just accounting for your financials.
It is accounting, a CRM, email, contracts, and much more.
Tutorials, webinars and online help.
Cons
Like anything that completes multiple tasks, it is quite complex once you start digging.
Has great multipurpose functionality, but you need to spend the time in it to make it work to its maximum capacity for you.
