I like that it's beginner friendly, all the basic features are easy to use and the UI makes sense. It's also multi-track capable and the ultimate edition has plenty of advanced features, giving you enough flexibility when you want to level up your movie skills. > > **Cons**: The software is not stable : Sometimes it's all good, sometimes it slows down, freezes, or even crash. You never know if it's your project or your last update, the support is useless in that regard and will ask you to reinstall over and over. Some advanced features are not user friendly so I'd recommend grabbing the box version instead of the digital download to have your manual handy. > > For occasional needs, it's the perfect tool with little learning curve to get started. When you needs become regular and projects more complex, it's a frustrating tool as you keep waiting, restarting, reloading due to it's many bugs. Version upgrade can make things worse instead of better... I went on with Vegas Movie Studio (then Vegas Pro) right after my frustration level reached it's limits. It was a tradeoff though : there was a steep learning curve with Vegas before I got my ideal workflow speed.
